Hi.
This is a great idea and the submissions so far are fantastic!
Are the songs which are still up for grabs open to anyone or just the main contributors?
Great stuff, anyway.
Thanks.

Hate to repeat others, but is the project open to everyone or just the main contributors? I’d be interested in doing something for Kiss Me Like You Mean It, if it is open.

Came here via Sean’s blog. I actually squeed out loud when I realised what you were doing here. I would absolutely love to do Parades Go By, if it’s going.

Please please say this is open to the public. I would so love to do “The Book of Love” or “You’re My Only Home”, if they’re still going.

I too echo the desire to make this open to the public, and if it is—dibs on “Sweet-Lovin’ Man.” 🙂

Hey Julia, this is a great idea. Can’t believe I’ve only just come across this. If you are opening these up to strangers, I’d love to do one.
Could I do Love Is Like Jazz?

Hi,
Your blog is awesome. Is there anywhere where all the songs are linked to their respective art? I’m listening to the album for the first time in ages and I’d like to see the art as the song comes on.
Thanks!

I hate to come onto this beautiful stream of creative with a sales pitch, but I am a big fan of the Magnetic Fields, and I work for the foremost custom-on-demand company called Zazzle.
Zazzle enables brands and artists to monetize your designs within a robust marketplace with the highest quality retail products such as apparel, skateboards, shoes, greeting cards, mugs, etc, all offered through a no inventory model.
Zazzle also has a sister site called Artsprojekt, founded by Andy Howell which is where I think that the most traction would come with Kung Fu. Artsprojekt is a curated platform that empowers emerging and established artists and brands to connect, collaborate, and showcase original art, designs and ideas with fans and consumers. Current Artsprojekt contributors include: Obey, Jackass, Crooks and Castles, Alex Pardee, Jim Phillips, and Andy Howell himself.
We will launch a Fan Merch program for artists and brands to source their art through a specialized program directed at their fans. Fans will be able to submit art based on brand guidelines and this art, and the band would make revenue off of each sale.
There seems to be a direct tie-in with what you guys are doing here, so please respond if you have interest in discussing possibilities.
Thanks!!
Joyce

Maybe I missed it, but is there an index of the ones that have been posted so far, listed song by song/album by album? I mean, if you could just turn the above into hyperlinks that would be super-helpful.

Can I take “The Things We Did and Didn’t Do”?
In affirmative case, what exactly have I to do? I mean, a little comic about this song, but is there any special thing? Dates or something?
Could you please tell me if I get that song and then I can start with the comic?
Thanks!

I love and follow this site for about 2 months. So I decided to draw my comic version of “Epitaph for my Heart” just for fun, as I’m not a professional drawer. Anyway, shortly after I noticed that this song was already taken!
If you want to have a look , here’s my comic:

Hope you like it.

Hello Gloria!
You don’t need to be a professional artist to participate. 🙂 I really liked your comic, if you feel like picking one that hasn’t been reserved yet and contributing, let me know!
Cheers, Julia x

Hi,
I love this idea!
I wrote some time ago asking if I can take part. I suspect you have thousands of applications already and there are only few songs left, but please let me know in any case =)
Thanks

Hey, just saying, if Epitaph for My Heart is free again you should put up Gloria’s submission! One of my favorite songs.
Also, the links to the hi-res images for Absolutely Cuckoo are down.
